1947 saw India gained Independence and 1947 also saw the birth in Lucena City of Hon. Alleray, Philippine’s next Ambassador designate to India. 25 years later or in 1972 this gentlemen graduated from the Lyceum of the Philippines with B.S. degree in Bachelor of Arts and Foreign service. HON. Yogendra Kumar, Newly designated Indian Ambassador to the PHILIPPINES arrived on Dec 19. Welcome Sir.
Shri Yogendra Kumar (IFS: 1977), currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry, has been appointed as next Ambassador of India to Philippines in succession to Shri Rajeet Mitter. He is expected to take up his assignment this month.

Present Philippines Ambassador to India Hon. Francisco Benedicto has been CONFIRMED AS THE NEXT PHIL AMBASSADOR TO CHINA. In his Place DFA under Secretary Hon. Ronald ALLERAY has been CONFIRMED AS PHIL AMBASSADOR TO INDIA.
Their posting will be within the first quarter of 2010, as there is no official communication on this date. Hon. Amb. Rajeet Mitter has ended his tenure and left on Dec 7 for India already. Incoming Indian Ambassador to the Philippines is Hon. Yogendra Kumar, who is expected here by December 18th..

Shri RAJEET MITTER completed his tenure in the Philippines as an Indian Ambassador. He was an Ambassador par Excellence. He flew out on December 7th together with his wife Kavita. His next assignment is BANGLADESH. On December 4 2009 his last assignment was the launching of the Postal stamp by the Philippines in relation to the 60 years of RP INDIA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS.
